The good book tells us that in Him we have self control but more times than not we lose our self control. More times than not we forget we are a civilized society with norms and accepted behavior. Domestic violence doesn't just affect the parties involved. It affects other members of the family as well. God forbid children are in the mix because they learn what is "normal" in the home. If the father is the culprit, little boys will grow up to be abusers. If the mother is the aggressor, than little girls will grow up believing that aggression solves everything. The cycle continues and lives are destroyed, scarred, wasted,  and discarded.  Domestic violence is physical but a lot of factors exist. There is verbal abuse and emotional abuse. You know, it's sad when a grown adult realizes that what he/she does is wrong but yet continues to do it. If nothing changes, nothing changes. We are God's greatest creation. We were given dominion over all creatures, yet we can not control ourselves. It's a sad state of affairs. Saturday the 28th of October at 10am the Family Resource Agency will be conducting a conference about domestic violence; What are the symptoms? Can behavior be changed? Can a victim escape? Can scars be mended?  The conference will take at Chrissa Services located at 147 Inman St. East Cleveland TN 37311. 

El Buen libro nos dice que en EL tenemos dominio propio pero mas veces que no, nosotros perdemos nuestra cordura. Nos olvidamos que somos gente civilizada con normas que dictan conducta acceptable. La violencia domestica no solo afecta las personas involucradas. Afecta otros miembros de la familia tambien. Dios no quiera que haiga niños en la casa porque ellos aprenden lo que es " normal" en la casa. Si el papa es el instigador, los varoncitos creceran a ser abusadores.  Si la mama es la agresora, entonces las niñas van a crecer con la idea que todo se soluciona con aggresion.  El ciclo continua  y destruye, desperdicia, hiere y descarta las vidas.  La violencia domestica es fisica pero muchos factores existen. Existe abuso verbal y abuso emocional.  Sabes? Es triste cuando un adulto sabe que esta cometiendo un error pero continua haciendolo. Si nada cambia, nada cambia.  Somos creacion de Dios. Se nos dio dominio sobre toda creatura, y no nos podemos dominar nosotros mismos. Que tristeza. El Sabado 28 de Octubre a las 10am la Agencia de Recursos Familiares estara conduciendo una conferencia sobre violencia domestica; cuales son los sintomas? Puede cambiar el comportamiento? Puede escaper una victim? Las heridas pueden ser enmendadas? La conferencia tomara lugar en Chrissa Services localizado en 147 Inman St. East Cleveland TN 37311.

The older I get, the more I realize that life is not just about me. It's about the people that we leave behind. It's about our children, our family members, the people that have touched us, changed us, helped us, exhorted us, and have loved us unconditionally. I have begun to ask myself, what are my goals? Not just short term but long term. What do I want to leave for others? What do I want to accomplish? What do I want for my children to accomplish? And of course these questions lead to other questions; how can I accomplish my goals? How can I prepare to provide for my loved ones when I'm gone? Where do I start? Who do I turn to? Can I do this on my own? I know, I know, lots of questions, but the truth is that everything has a solution. Really, in life everything has a solution. Sure , sometimes the solution may be hidden and sometimes it's hard to reach it, but it's there.  The solution to provide for yourself as well as others short term and long term is a strong financial plan.   We must learn to save, to be frugal, to resist immediate gratification.  We must learn to prioritize and be patient. Entre mas vivo mas me doy cuenta que la vida no solo se trata de mi. Se trata de las personas que dejamos. Se trata de nuestros hijos, nuestros familiares, la gente que nos a tocado, nos a cambiado, nos a ayudado, nos a exhortado, y nos a amado incondicionalmente. Me eh preguntado, cuales son mis metas? No solo a corto plaso sino tambien a largo plaso. Que quiero dejarle a otros?  Que quiero realizar en mi vida? Que quiero que mis hijos realizen en sus vidas? Y claro estas preguntas solo producen mas preguntas. Como puedo realizar mis metas? Como me puedo preparer para proveer por mis seres amados cuando no este? Adonde empieso? A quien le pido ayuda? Puedo hacer esto sola? Yo se, muchas preguntas, pero la verdad es que todo tiene solucion.  De verdad, en la vida todo tiene una solucion. Por supuesto, algunas veces la solucion se esconde, y aveces es dificil alcansarla, pero esta alli. La solucion para proveer por ti mismo y por otros  a terminos cortos y largos es un plan financiero fuerte. Debemos aprender a ahorrar,  a resistir gratificacion immediata. Debemos aprender a priorizar y ser pacientes.
